FAQ common photo booth questions and answers
Here are some common questions and answers about our photo booth kit.
#1. Is there an internal monitor? Yes. there is a monitor inside the booth for the users to see if they are in the shot. Our standard photo booth comes with an iPad sized monitor and the screen can be updated to a 15 inch touch screen. If you want we can upgrade the kit with any size monitor you may want, but a lot of space is wasted on standard format larger monitors, our 15 inch monitor has plenty of room and is extremely lightweight.
#2. Can the booth operate from a touch screen monitor? Yes. We prefer a button to preserve the “old-school” photo booth feel, but our new software is set up to work as a touch screen program. The main screen of the program can be customized with your company logo, and custom buttons/graphics, and custom instructions.
#3 Can I use a DSLR camera in your booth? Yes. Our Fortune Photo Booth software supports DSLR, older-Canon powershots and most webcams. Call us about your equipment and software needs and we will find a solution for you. Our photo booth software can capture videos as well as just create photo booth strips.
#4. How long does it take to receive a booth once we order it through you? It takes approximately 3 weeks to receive a booth. Sometimes rush arders can be made, so be sure to call and check if we can get you a booth before your event.
#5. How does the lighting work in the booth? When using our Canon cameras, the camera has an on board flash that controls the exposure. Our booth has a built in flash panel that creates a very nice lighting pattern without strange shadows or uneven lighting. When using a web cam or just looking at the video preview, the light comes from an internal lighting panel that adds enough light for dark situations. Our booths are built to work in any lighting situation.
#6. How much is shipping? Shipping is a flat $150 for the continental U.S. Call for international and non-mainland U.S. rates.

#8. I have all the equipment, can we buy just the photo booth structure? Yes. Call us for a quote based on the equipment you have or plan to use.
#9. How much can I expect to get for renting out your booth kit? It is your booth so you can rent it for as much or as little as you wish. We are not a photo booth franchise. Standard rental rates vary by region but are about $800-$1400 per 4 hour event. This rate can be modified by adding on products and services. These add ons include; photo booth frames, extra on site printing of images, online photo hosting, guest book services, after the event photo book creation, video booth add on, CD’s of images for the clients, Custom booth graphics for events, and boxes of props for the guests to wear.
#10. How can the outside of my photo booth be customized?We can print the panels that make up the booth tower in any way you want. Your booth can have any graphics, or photos, or colors, or text that you want. Our original panels can be fully printed, or our new panels can have decals added for personalizing the booth for your company or or an individual event. A poster can be printed by you at a local sign shop to dress up your booth for commercial clients, or if the booth will be used multiple times for the same client you can have a custom printed set of panels made for that client. The strips can also be customized with logos and text printed right on the photo booth strips.
#11. What are the booth dimensions? Actual Booth Size is about 3ft wide x 7ft long x 6ft tall
#12. How much are supplies for the booth. Paper and ink for the DNP Dye Sub printer runs $215 for a box of 1400 prints. The ink and paper come in matched sets. That means when you order the paper through us your print costs are only 15 cents each. This can be a 4×6, or a set of 2 2×6 strips. You are free to purchase paper and ink through any DNP printer dealer.
#13. Are you a franchise? No. the booth is yours and you make all the money from renting it. We sell you the booth and give you support in getting up and running.
