We are so close!. I know many of you are waiting for the new video booth software, and it really is almost done. This weekend we will be testing the newest release and making sure it will work for all of you. Then… flipbooksoftware is an immediate priority! The new software will allow guests in the photo booth to have a choice of either doing a photo booth session, or leaving a short video message for the party/event host. We are so excited! Can’t wait to get this to you all.

What to do for photo booth back up gear??

Photo Booth Business tips from Soren:

People have been wondering what to do for back up gear in case of a problem at an event. In all photo booths there really are 3 main pieces of technology that could break causing the booth to not work. The camera, the printer and the computer.

First, The Camera. Have a back up. A secondary camera will solve this problem. A second S3 can be purchased from us for $250. Our new software which will be available in a week or two will work with web cams. When that is ready, all you will need is a web cam for an emergency back up, which is less than $100.

The Printer. The printer is meant to work for 30,000 prints plus without a problem, but… what if you drop it? The printer is heavy and expensive, which makes it a problem to carry more than one. You could purchase another for $800, and keep it in the car. As an alternative an Epson Picturemate is about $150 and does a fine job as a back up. It can even work as the main printer, but it requires that the photo booth operator fill it with paper every 20 shots.

The Computer. The only back up for a computer is another computer. Do you have one lying around you could use? If so load our software on it and have it ready. Keep it in the kit or in the car, Make sure it is windows XP or Win 7, not Vista.

If you have those back ups you could even advertise to your clients that you have them and get a leg up on your competition. Be prepared out there!

Photo Booth Software: Our video / photo booth software is in beta testing. With a web camera you will have the ability to turn our booth into a photo booth with the option for the guests of leaving a video message

Curtain News: Our standard white photo booth curtain is now available with a red button in insert for changing colors without having to buy a whole additional curtain!

Panel News: A new type of panel is going to be available soon. It is a more rugged material and will be just as customizable to make your booth branded to you.

Seat Cushions: New comfier cushions, that are easier to attach.

Deluxe Vs. Bare bones Kits (NEW)

Check out our pricing page for more info on our new Bare Bones kit. The new kit is about $1500 less expensive than out Deluxe kit, but still provides the same photobooth feel to your clients.

The main differences are in the generic booth panels, different printer, different camera,different button and lack of phone technical support. The booth can be incrementally upgraded as you go without too much hassle.

New external screen coming

You have asked for it, and now its almost here. Our next booth which is heading to Hobbs New Mexico is going to be built with an exciting new feature. The area just above the printer will be a 20 inch monitor which will be able to play a slide show of images from the night to get peoples attention. We are sure to have a great new picture gallery of the new booth design soon. The cost will be less than $500 additional. If you ask for it we can make it happen!

Pictures are coming soon, but our standard white curtain will now be available in other colors. Red is a great choice for color images, and it will be swappable with other colors so you can change to white if you need too without purchasing an entire additional curtain! Pictures Soon.

: Focus on Nature Photography Gallery Photo booth

Here is a shot of one of our photo booths being used in a permenant setting inside an art gallery in Morrow Bay California. The photo was sent in by our customer Bill, and the site is his Focus on Nature Photography Gallery. As far as I know this is the most permenant installation of one of our booths. The rest just appear at events and are packed away snuggly in their cases for the night. There are many creative ways to use our photo booth kit! Keep the photos coming.

Our Video Booth Software is getting closer. We are just working the bugs out right now, and full integration for the photo/video booth should be done in Summer 2010! Users will have the choice of doing a photo session or leaving a video message, and the operator can choose to run the booth as a photo booth only, a video booth only, or a combo photo video booth.
